MGM Kids Identity
Beyond the powerful roar of this great American movie studio icon, Leo the Lion, was a small whimper from an 8-week old lion cub, Monica. EDG was hired by MGM to create a new brand identity for their children’s product line and library, aptly named MGM Kids. Based on this formidable and ferocious cat, EDG researched, coordinated, and art directed three, 8-week old feline companions, Monica, Phoebe, and Rachel. This one-of-a-kind photo shoot starred these adorable critters and their trainers with baby bottles in tow. EDG designers incorporated the chosen cub photo with customized artwork for the final branded look. This logo adorns all of MGM’s children’s product ranging from Care Bears to Hello Kitty to High Five.
