Brittney Backos is a Los Angeles native who graduated with honors from The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Design. Throughout her time as a student, her work was recognized as “Best of Quarter” and could be found on display around campus. At graduation, Brittney was recognized with the highest honor with the “Outstanding Achievement Award.” During school, Brittney managed The Art Institute AIGA student group for two years. Continuing her involvement with the AIGA LA chapter after graduation, she worked as an event producer and volunteer coordinator. Brittney also co-produced the AIGA (Re)xtravaganza! gala event in the fall of 2011 which celebrated the best in design for social responsibility and sustainability. Currently she is the Event Programming Chair for AIGA Los Angeles. As a freelance designer, she has done work for LA Pride, Style Lounge, The Wedding Salon, G4 TV and designs custom wedding invitations. Some of Brittney’s design interests include exhibition design, motion graphics, experiential design, sustainability, typography, event planning, and project organization and management. Among other things, she loves going to concerts, theme parks and traveling.
